YCOB travelled to Kilrea and reversed the 1-3 home defeat in their first league game with a 3-0 win.
After a scrappy first 10 minutes, Bann took a grip of the game with Cunningham opening the scoring with a well judged lob. A firmly struck shot from the edge of the penalty area gave Cunningham his second with his hat-trick following just before half-time with a calm finish after leaving the home defence in disarray.
Ballynagross pushed a third man up front as they sought a way back into the match but the Bann defence held firm in the face of the increased pressure well supported by defensive midfielder Hillen. Bann soaked up the pressure and hacd several further chanes on the counter-attack but failed to add to their tally running out 0-3 winners.
