To mark the end of 2023 CAFRE took the opportunity to look back on activities, both on and off-campus, that successfully engaged with the agri-food and land-based sectors. Students have achieved outstanding competition success and staff have worked with industry partners to promote sustainability and innovation.

Over 2,000 people visited Greenmount Campus, Antrim and Enniskillen Campus during the Bank of Ireland’s celebration of Open Farm Weekend. A total of 49 bursaries, each valued at £1,500, were awarded during 2023, along with seven scholarships worth £2,500 each. This, CAFRE says, demonstrates the unwavering support industry has for higher education students enrolled at the college.
