Lee Matthews has plenty of reason to celebrate as he heads with his band to the Bannville House Hotel, Banbridge this Friday night (Dec 5th).
His debut album ‘A little bitty country’ is already creating a stir because of the extensive air-play it is receiving on radio stations up and down the country.
The album contains a number of impressive tracks including some written by the talented Lee himself.
He may only be on the road less than a year but the popular singer is making an impact everywhere he plays.
It was in his home town of Strabane that Lee enjoyed a successful launch of his new album when a full house was the order of the day at the Fir Trees Hotel.
“It was a fantastic night and now we are hoping to introduce the album material for the first time in the Bannville,” says Lee, “We are planning to generate a real party atmosphere and make the night go with a swing.”
The debonair Lee has already received a number of prestigious awards this year on the back of the success of his first single ‘Sadie’s got her new dress on’ which proved an initial boost for the singer.
“It was a song which we mulled over before releasing it but it certainly seemed to prove popular so we can’t complain about that,” smiles Lee. The doors will open at 9.15pm and Lee and his band will be on stage at 10.45pm.
