Underhill Rose bring Americana to Bronte

From North Carolina, Underhill Rose plays a rootsy blend of Mountain Folk and Americans combined with originals songs in three-part harmony.

Molly Rose and Eleanor Underhill formed Underhill Rose in 2009, with Salley Williamson joining two years later to establish the trio that is known for its harmony vocals, and blending of Americans, R&B, country, and bluegrass styles.

Underhill Rose has become synonymous with beautiful music, charming personalities, and rippling success.

In the last four years, the all-female trifecta has independently released two albums in the top of the Americana Music Association Airplay Chart and the Roots Music Report Chart, all the while garnering critical acclaim from around the globe.

2016 has already become a high-spirited year, with the band’s first-ever international tour to the UK and Ireland, performances at Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour and Folk Alliance International, and sold-out shows at clubs and performance centres along the way.

On the heels of outstanding album reviews in Europe, Underhill Rose will be back on this side of the pond for a second international tour in November, and with plans to record a live album in the fall, it’s full steam ahead for these ladies.
