Annual barbeque at Drumlough hall

THE annual barbeque at Drumlough Orange Hall in Rathfriland takes place on Friday July 27.

This is a night where all the family and friends enjoy a great night out. The estimated crowd is around 800 which includes 100 children from the district.

The action gets underway at 7pm with the ever popular treasure hunt from the Orange Hall which usually covers a 10 mile route and with good prizes for the various winners. It’s sure to attract a huge fleet of cars.

Then from 7.30pm the ever popular steaks will be placed on the large barbecues with all the tasty trimmings, including tea and wheaten bread supplied by the Windsor Bakery, Banbridge. Children are also well catered for with sausages and burgers. The admission is £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Then the big moment everyone’s looking forward to - the big fireworks display at 10.15pm. The organisers hope the weather holds for this one as it is well worth seeing and if you have any energy left there is dancing until the small hours with music by Housty.

There’s a lot happening at Drumlough organised by Drumlough and Ballygorian Rural Development Society - it will be professionally organised by the Community Group’s helpers who have put their shoulder to the wheel to make it a night to remember.
