West Down pair preparing for Nationals

THE National Indoor Bowls Championships are scheduled to take place on Saturday April 6 starting at 1pm at Richhill Recreation Centre.

West Down Zone will be represented by a triple from St.John's Gilford made up of Ann Magee, Bernie Conlon and Ann Polin.

A great afternoon bowling will take place and the three ladies would value your support.

AS Tullylish completed the treble by winning the President's cup against St.Colman's in Ballydougan last Wednesday night. The game was won and lost in the first half when All Saints were ahead by 17 shots.

St Colman's played better in the second half pulling back two shots but the deficit was too much. Skips names only - Rink 1: J.Wilson 12-2 P. Tumilty; Rink 2: DJ Wilson 11-4 P.Convery; Rink 3: A.Leckey 10-9 P.Moore 9; Rink 4: E.Campbell 6-9 G.Chambers 9.

- The AGM of the West Down Zone will take place in Bannside Church Hall on Wednesday April 24 at 8pm. The zone would like to see all clubs represented.
