'We must take our chances' blasts Taylor

PORTSTEWART boss Gary Taylor was upbeat despite his side's 2-1 defeat at PSNI on Saturday.

“We played very well but we are guilty of not taking our chances, and we have to change this if we are to get results.

“Rowan Neill had a superb game on Saturday.

“He is working his socks off, and is just not getting the rewards,” admitted Gary.

“Rowan just had no luck, he rounded the keeper and missed, and then he was brought down in an awful tackle by the keeper. Hopefully things will start to change for him.”

Gary went on: “PSNI had three chances and they took two of them, we had about a dozen and just couldn’t score, but I am hoping that we can make things better this Saturday against Knockbreda.

“We played very well against them the last time, but we were beaten 4-2, so if we keep creating goals like we did on Saturday, hopefully we’ll get a bit of luck and things will turn around for us.”
