Tennis is a much-loved sport and provides children with a great way to keep active, have fun, and develop fundamental sporting skills.

The programme is set to run over consecutive Friday afternoons in association with Ulster Tennis and Cavehill Tennis Club.

“It’s great to be working with Newtownabbey Borough Council to offer a six-week tennis programme for children,” said Richard Parker from Cavehill Tennis Club.

“Kids can come along to improve their existing game, or to learn the sport if they’ve never played before.”

The programme runs until November 21 and sessions take place from 3.45pm until 4.45pm for children 7 to 11 years old. The cost is £2 per week.
