U17s get the points at the Point

MONEYSLANE U17s travelled to Warrenpoint to play in the league at the weekend and were well beaten by a well organised Point side.

With Slane needing a win to finish top of the section the lads seemed up for this game. But it all went horribly wrong in the first 13 minutes as Slane found themselves three down.

On 30 minutes Slane got a goal back through Gary Porter.

In the second half Slane were the better team and should have had two more goals but for the players to be ruled offside

As Slane were pushing forward and trying to get back into the game they lost another goal.

Man of the Match was Matthew McKnight who went through a lot of work in midfield.
