U16s share High Schools’ Cup

LAST Tuesday Dromore High’s U16 girls hockey team travelled to Grosvenor Grammar School to play Downshire High School in the High Schools’ Cup final.

Dromore took the lead after five minutes through a great cross into the circle by Jill Brown which Jade Gillespie converted into the net.

Downshire got a quick break and quickly equalised. They then scored early in the second half but Dromore maintained the pressure on them and eventually one of Emily Beatty’s strikes found the back of the net, making the result 2-2.
