SLANE had their U14s in action at the weekend and went into this game having played nothing in the last five weeks.

McMullen lobbed a free kick over the top of the visitors defence and Smyth spun quick and lobbed the keeper from twenty yards out for the opening goal.

The visitors equalised so after but again Slane came back to go in front with another goal from Smyth.

They came at Slane from the whistle and pushed them back into their own half and hit Slane for two quick goals and then scored three more times in the last five minutes.

Overall a good first half performance by Slane who have been improving week after week and best for Slane was Gareth McCabe at the centre of defence.
