U13s recover well from shaky start

TOWN U13s recovered from a shaky start against Sunnyside to make it six wins from seven starts in the Lisburn Invitational league.

After Sunnyside were gifted an early goal, Michael Colfer restored parity for Town with a controlled run and finish. Midfielder Nathan Thompson then put Banbridge ahead with a speculative shot from distance.

Another defensive mishap gave Sunnyside further hope until Colfer put Banbridge ahead again with his second of the game.

After the break, Town held their shape better and played the more controlled football. They were rewarded when D’aire McCluskey kept his composure to fire home in a crowded penalty box.
