U12s off to cracking start

TULLYLISH Under-12s kicked off their league campaign with an impressive win over St Michael’s at Pairc na nOg on Sunday morning.

Odhran Connolly got Tullylish off the mark with a well taken solo effort and James Fegan stretched their lead with two brilliant frees from 40 yards and a fisted goal from close range.

Ronan Campbell fired over as the home side ran riot and the impressive Caolan Doyle added another great point as the half drew to a close. Shea Winters split the posts with a well taken effort just before the break.

Tullylish's forward line of Ronan Campbell, Michael Kelly, Caolan Doyle and Shea Winters kept the St Michaels rearguard busy throughout but it was that man Odhran Connolly who ended the first half with a couple of well taken points.

Stephen Doran put in a great shift at half-back and again the midfield duo of Odhran Connolly and James Fegan combined well with Shea Winters up front who scored two fine goals.

The outstanding Caolan Doyle hit the back of the net late on as Michael Kelly and Tiernan Lyness battled hard for the cause in the full forward line.

This was fine display from the Under-12s who face An Riocht on Wednesday evening with a 7.30 throw-up.
