U12s are hit for six at home by City

Banbridge Rangers U12s 0

Armagh City U12s 6

RANGERS U12s entertained Armagh this week in the first home game of the season, and with wet and windy conditions it was always going to be a hard match.

Armagh got the opening goal on the 18th minute with a well worked ball coming from the left hand side beating Robson in the Rangers nets.

Banbridge Rangers continued to battle well with Burns and McCullough defending like Trojans, however with Armagh continually playing the long ball game it was always going to be tough with the boys going into the half time interval three goals down.

The second half was much better with Rangers pressing the Armagh defence with McAllister & Flack coming close on a number of occasions. Adair and Reid pulled the strings in the middle of the park, with Wheeler doing very well on the right wing.

With less than 10 minutes to go it was looking like a well deserved draw in the second half with both team cancelled each other’s attacks, however a lack of discipline and composure costing the team three late goals.
