U11s are held

ON a cold morning, both teams were glad to get a match.

The game was played at a fast pace and Dromore had the better of the first half. Joel and Adam playing in centre midfield worked well and the first chance can to Euan playing up front but the keeper made a good save.

Matthew Magill was getting no joy down the right but when he passed back to Morgan there was movement forward.

Ben played well and made a number of good headers and passes.

When Loughgall did get forward Nathan made good blocks and Josh caught the ball superbly.

However just before half time a long goal kick from Sam, the Loughgall keeper, bounced over our defenders head and the Loughgall striker buried the ball.

For the second half Joel went to centre back and Euan into centre midfield. Dromore’s goal came from a corner; the keeper punched it out under pressure from Euan. Adam latched onto the clearance and volleyed it into the top of the net.

Dromore had other chances to win it, Matthew Thompson have an effort that just went over the bar.

Adam shot wide and Morgan’s crosses just did not find a Dromore player. Ben hustled and worked hard in midfield, so did Adam

It was Dromore’s hearts in their mouths just before the final whistle, with Josh beaten and the ball going towards the goal, there was Morgan to provide another of his spectacular goal line clearances.

Congratulations to Matthew Magill who was presented with player of the month after the match.
