Two wins for U9s at Games Develpment Centre

BANBRIDGE Town U9s continued their development games on Saturday and came away with another two impressive wins.

Banbridge started the first game sharply and quickly took the lead when a Jack Murray pass released Adam Hamilton who found the bottom corner with a low drive.

The Town soon doubled their lead when Patrick McGrath volleyed a brilliant effort into the net, although Banbridge conceded a goal with ten minutes remaining any attack was being dealt with by the ever reliable defence of Lee Whitten and Calum Kermath with the assistance of keeper Kyle Bradford who notably made a superb one handed save when a goal looked certain.

With a few minutes to go the pacy Adam Hamilton raced clear and cooly finished to win the game 3-1.

In Banbridges second game they started well and continued to play passing football all over the park,they raced into a three goal lead when midfielder Owen Wilson finished well after a surging run and then with striker Adam Hamilton who had been a constant threat adding two goals to his tally with two deadly finishes.

Banbridge continued to pass the ball well particularly in midfield with the influential Patrick McGrath and man of the match Ryan Meara pulling the strings and it was Ryan Meara’s pass who found Owen Wilson who fired an unstoppable drive into the top corner.Banbridge conceded a late goal to leave the score 4-1 but this could have been more but again for some excellant defending by Lee Whitten and Calum Kermath.

This was a great team display in what was their first two games after the Easter break.
