Two wins for Banbridge

BANBRIDGE Ladies had two league matches to play this week – one, a rescheduled match at Portadown on Tuesday June 26 and a home match against Donaghadee on Thursday June 28.

The Portadown match gave Banbridge five League points. Rink results were as follows:

Rink 1: L. Byrne, R. Gourley, E Whyte, H. Steenson - 14–15

Rink 2: H. Shepherd, J. Nesbitt, C.McDermott, M. Campbell - 13–15.75

Rink 3: H. Beresford, V. Newell, M. Ewart, R. McAdam - 19–12

Rink 4: I. Hozack, H. Wilkinson, M. Finnegan, M. Adams - 21–6.75

Six league points were gained from the Donaghadee match on Thursday. Rink results were:

Rink 1: A. Donald, L. Byrne, E. Whyte, H. Steenson - 19–16

Rink 2: H. Shepherd, R. McGivern, C. McDermott, M. Campbell - 19-8

Rink 3: I. Hozack, H. Wilkinson, M. Finnegan, M. Adams - 15–22

Rink 4: H. Beresford, L Frost, V. Newell, R. McAdam - 30–16

The team has two away matches on July 4-5. Lisnagarvey is the venue for the first round Wingrave Cup match on Wednesday, and Dungannon for the league match on Thursday.
