Trevor Jones claimed the Carr Cup while four year old Adam Morrow/McSherry took the Rodger Young Trophy for Juveniles on Easter Monday (28th March).

The Trophy is for Juveniles and Adam’s fish weighed 0.206kgs to take top prize. The club all sent a big well done to young Adam and hoped to see the young talent at more competitions.

The Carr Cup was a keenly disputed affair with the top three places being decided as always on a heaviest fish basis.

Last season’s Angler of the Year Trevor Jones has had a slow start to this season but he bounced back to form with a fine trout that gave him yet another competition win.

Noel Burns and Paddy Burns were hard to separate for second and third but Noel just edged it by 0.004 kgs. Now that was close.

TOP THREE

1st Trevor Jones 0.428kgs

2nd Noel Burns 0.388kgs

3rd Paddy Burns 0.384kgs
