Trevor v Adrian in Haughton Smyth final

THE final of the Haughton Smyth Cup will be between Trevor Woods and Adrian Barry.

In the first semi-final, Trevor beat Rory Madeley 3 and 2.

In the second semi-final, Adrian beat Timothy Hodgett 1 up.

Low handicap players have dominated this competition, over the years.

The last high handicap player to win it was probably John Smyth who beat Brendan McAleenan in the final. That was about 15 years ago.

Now we have another high handicapper in with a great chance of winning.

Adrian Barry, having already beaten Stuart Hunter, Jonathan Ward and Timothy Hodgett, will not suffer any nerves when he faces Trevor Woods.

It could be a match well worth watching.
