Town U14s hit double figures in quarter final

The Juniors started the stronger of the two sides as they dominated the opening stages of the match, pressing forward right from kick off.

They found an early breakthrough on two minutes with Liam Farrell racing onto on a through ball and chipping the keeper with an excellent finish.

From this point, the Juniors never looked like losing against a Seagoe side who seemed unable to deal with the massive pressure from the Juniors.

Liam Farrell doubled up his tally and gave the Juniors a cushion when he converted a cross in from the left on seven minutes.

The Juniors were rampant and three minutes later added a third when Owen Byrne scored a fantastic solo effort running from his own half before finishing calmly.

Seagoe were unable to respond and on 17 minutes Jordan Walker added a fourth when he pounced on a rebound to tap into the net.

On 20 minutes Liam Farrell completed his hat trick with a six yard drive after tireless work by Jonny Rodgers.

With 29 minutes played, Jake Dennison latched on to a fine through ball from Adam Dickson and finished expertly to give the Juniors their sixth goal of the afternoon. Not to be out done, Liam Farrell got his fourth goal of the match just before half time with a fine solo effort.

The Juniors continued in the same form as the first half, with Jonny Rodgers and Jordan Walker pulling all the strings which soon resulted in an eighth goal with Jake Dennison getting his second of the match.

They got a ninth goal when Liam Farrell continued his incredible form with a fifth goal after he converted a corner. With the match coming to a close, once again Jonny Rodgers skillfully rounded two Seagoe defenders and again assisting Liam Farrell who scored his sixth goal of the match, and the Juniors 10th from just inside the area.

This week’s man of the match was goal machine Liam Farrell for a fine display and clinical finishing.
