Town U10s teams conclude campaign with 10-goal thriller

Banbridge Town’s two U10s teams played their final two games before the Christmas break at the Lurgan Games Development

Centre this weekend and were pitched against the other.

That finished all square in a ten goal thriller with Annett (2), Innocenzi, Hill and Kerr on the score-sheet for one team and Hamilton (4) and Wilson for the other team.

In the game before, Eric Annett’s team went a goal behind early on but showed great character and determination to come

back. The boys played great football from the back with Ryan Meira, Brogin McCumisky and Senan Carr putting in great defensive displays. Going forward, great link up play by Alex Innocenzi set up Taylor Hill and Josh Kerr to interchange brilliantly setting up Harry Annett for a brave finish. At the other end Andy Chuck made a super one handed save down to his left.

Banbridge then completed their comeback when Josh Kerr scored again with a controlled finish after Annett and Hill’s link up play.

The boys then spent the afternoon at the Banbridge Town V Rathfriland Rangers Fourth Round Irish Cup game walking out with the players at the start of the match and then entertaining the crowd in two half time matches against Rathfriland U10s. A big thank-you to all the parents who have supported the boys and the club.
