Town on song

BANBRIDGE Town U9s played another two games on Saturday at the Brownstown Development Centre.

Despite a number of players missing and a number of changes in both matches, the boys coped well experiencing the ups and downs of the scorelines – winning the first game and losing out on the second.

In the first game the opposition took the lead with a good breakaway and shot into the bottom corner.

Josh Kerr had a great mazy run down the right but Town equalised when Finn Martin scored with a well taken side footed finish. Kerr then scored with a neat shot into the net after he was set up by Annett`s low cross.

Joshua Noble went close as well for Town but Tom King increased the score with a great shot into the roof of the net. Patrick McGrath made a great pass to Tom King for his second goal when he again coolly lobbed the `keeper for a great finish.

In the second game the boys went a goal behind in the early stages but levelled when Alex Innocenzi broke away and lifted the ball firmly over the `keeper with a great shot.

They stuck twice in succession but then Adam Hamilton and Tom King went close with Harry Annett also nipping one just wide of the post.
