FUEL TO THE FIRE! - What about the situation on Saturday where Rathfriland Rangers player Ally Wilson had the last laugh on his team mates Ally Evans and Scott Ward. Before training at the club on Saturday afternoon, Wilson drove his car with the fuel light on from Newcastle back home to Banbridge and back to Rathfriland – it must have been going on air by the time he got to Iveagh Park! However with Wilson not returning home after training, Ally Evans accompanied by Scott Ward had the responsibility of taking Ally`s car home – yes you`ve guessed it – the boys wern`t at Annaclone till the phone call came through from Ally Evans about the lack of fuel with Scott Ward in the background questioning “Does this thing take petrol or diesel!”

SPONSORS DAY - The now annual Rathfriland FC Sponsors Day will take place this Saturday at the clubrooms. The Sponsors day is now a massive day in the calendar of Rathfriland FC where the club gives something back to all those who have been supportive to the club financially and in so many other ways over the last 12 months. This all co-incides with Rangers fourth round JJB Irish Cup tie against Ballynure OB at Iveagh Park with the winners heading into the draw for the fifth round with the proverbial big boys from the Irish League! This should be a great day for the club and all involved - All sponsors are asked to attend at 12.30pm for the start of proceedings.
