RANGERS SECURE PROMOTION to 1A - Rathfriland Rangers have secured promotion to Division 1A – congratulations to Alan Frazer, Stevie McBride, the rest of the backroom team and the players on this super achievement for the club.

Rathfriland`s 2–2 draw at Holywood and Immaculata`s 1-0 win over Ballynahinch see the West Belfast side clinch the title in a nailbiting run in. Rathfriland, having played five games in nine days, have been running on air and all credit to them for keeping going and clinching promotion for the first time in 15 years.

ONE POINT FOR TITLE - Rathfriland Swifts Reserves host Red Star in a league fixture tomorrow night (Wednesday). The Swifts Reserves need only one point from their last four games to clinch the Reserve Division 4 title – what a great achievement that would be for Conan Power and Ryan Monaghan in their first season in management.

COLTS LAST GAME - Rathfriland Colts tonight (Tue) host Kirkinstown in their last game of the season. The Colts have had a steady season and will be looking to finish off on a high note. Kick off 7pm.

CONGRATULATIONS! - Confratulations to Rangers player Iain Weir and his partner on the birth of their baby boy.

AMATEUR LEAGUE ROSEBOWL SELECT - Congratulations to Rathfriland Rangers` players Ally Wilson and Connor Larkin on being selected for the Northern Ireland Amateur League select team to play their Scottish counterparts in Scotland for the Rosebowl this Saturday 11th May. This is just recognition for the boys` standards and is a great achievement for both players and the club. Well done lads.

RATHFRILAND FC ANNUAL DINNER DANCE AND AWARDS NIGHT - Rathfriland FC will be holding their end of season dinner and awards night at the Burrendale Hotel, Newcastle on Friday 24th May at 7.15pm. Music is by Shogunne and tickets are priced at £30 each with payment from everyone required as soon as posible. A bus will be leaving Church Square, Rathfriland at 6.30pm sharp.
