Top tip pays off for Billy at Lisburn

After receiving a golfing tip from his friend Tommy Beattie, Billy Dougherty (23) played his best golf of the Winter League.

A birdie at the short fourth followed by a par at the fifth made two four pointers and helped a total of 25 points for the best score last Saturday.

It was sufficient to win Section Three. George McMullan (28) ran up a double bogey at the last to finish one point in arrears. Wesley Haslett (28) was third on 23.
