Sweep results

SUNDAY AUGUST 12 - Aaaron Clydesdale played the nine holes of the Sunday Sweep in only four over par gross and he won the competition by four points.

That’s impressive golf for a 25 handicapper. Incidentally, Aaron is the 28th different winner of the Sunday Sweep this year.

The happiest man on this Sunday was Cathal McAnarney who had the only 2 of the day. Cathal was richly rewarded.

1st, Aaron Clydesdale (25) Nett 27.5; 2nd, Pat Toal (23) Nett 31.5; 3rd, Brian Knox (20) Nett 32.

THURSDAY AUGUST 16 - Michael Young has been trying all season to win the Thursday Open Stableford.

And, at last, he has managed it. He went round in three over par, gross 72. This is exceptional golf from such a young player.

1st, Michael Young (9) 42 points; 2nd, Paul Downey (13) 40; 3rd, Jonathan Brush (6) 33. Best Gross: Matthew Mallon (6) 72.
