Summer season gets underway

The weather was good and conditions were ideal for shooting, though it did not come into account and there was a somewhat low turnout for the beginning of the season, resulting in a total of 11 lines.

Shooting began shortly after 5pm with 20/60 scores slow to come in. In the end, four shooters did enough to make the final. These were Ronald Sloan, Geoff Dale, Neville Ferguson and Raymond Graham.

The shoot-off took place in tense fashion with the four shooters going at it. After the first line it was left to Sloan and Dale to go one-on-one for the win.

Eventually it was Geoff Dale who held his nerve to come away with the victory.

Final results were as follows: 1st, Geoff Dale; 2nd, Ronald Sloan; 3rd, Neville Ferguson.

Shooting will continue this Thursday, May 13, commencing at 5pm. Once again, all shooters are welcome.
