Sporting clubs urged to attend funding workshop

North Antrim Community Network is to host an “information and funding fair” for sporting organisations based in the Causeway Coast/Glens, Mid and East Antrim Council areas.

The event will be held in Tullyglass Hotel, on Thursday 8th October 2015, from 6-9.30pm.

The evening, chaired by BBC journalist & Television presenter Mark Sidebottom, will provide a unique opportunity for sporting organisations and clubs to develop and expand. Share ideas and network during an informal fork buffet 6pm-7pm; followed by the conference and funding information fair 7-9.30pm

The event is open to all clubs/sporting organisations in the previous Larne and Ballymena areas of Mid and East Antrim.

James McKay, Chair of North Antrim Community Network said: “Over the past number of months we’ve been working more and more with local sporting clubs and organisations involved in promoting physical and mental wellbeing. NACN has identified a need to help our local clubs be more “investment ready”.

“Is there a pot of public money out there which you could be dipping into? Whether football or fishing, Darts or dancing come along and let us help steer your club’s strategic plan”.
