Smyth back on track
Eglinton sprinter Jason Smyth made a significant return to competitive sprint action last weekend on the Clermont, Florida track in the prestigious Pure Athletics Invitational Meeting, clocking an impressive 10.40s 100 metres.
The clocking was fully legal, the Liverpool supporter has been plagued by windy conditions, both head on and following on this track in recent years, but a 10.40s opener for the season augers well for the double Paralympian sprint champion.
