Seasiders to travel to Roesiders

LIMAVADY United entertain Bangor this Saturday at the Showgrounds in the Ladbrokes.com Championship.

Bangor are currently two points and three positions worse off than the Roesiders at the moment.

The visitors have won once, drawn three and lost other of their first five league games this season.

The corresponding fixture last season ended with a two nil victory for United with goals from Trevor Hutchinson and Gareth McConaghie.

United did the double over Bangor last season and will be hoping to do the same again this season.

Bangor have a new man in charge with Frankie Wilson now at the helm and he will be looking to make a big impression.

Despite last week's defeat United boss Oran Kearney is looking forward to this game.

"I'm looking forward to this game already and I'm hopeful we can get all three points from it," he said.

"We need to be a bit more solid at the back like we were against Carrick on the opening day of the season.

"That said we need to make sure that we continue to create the chances we have been in recent weeks as well.

"They have a new manager in place as well and I know Frankie Wilson will be looking to make a quick impression."

Kearney is however a little concerned over the lack of consistency his team have shown so far this season.

"The last three of four weeks in training have been great and the players have been absolutely flying.

"The attitude has been super but they have to realise that it's all about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.

"I don't want them to be great Tuesday/Thursday players because it's all about the games not training.

"We have to make sure that doesn't happen and we have the get the Jekyll and Hyde out of our system immediately.

"Once we can get that bit of consistency then we will get a good run together and we will move forward," concluded Kearney.

Going into the game United will be without Gareth McConaghie as he serves a one match ban for his sending off against Larne.

Shane Jennings is still missing with a shoulder injury but has returned to training in the last few days.
