Scale Model Club back in action

CRAIGAVON Radio Controlled Model Car Club kicks its Ulster Championship season back into action with a 10 round race program commencing on Saturday April 10 and running every other Saturday up to October.

There should be plenty of action to follow with three different classes running: 1/5th touring cars which can get up to speeds of 50mph plus on the main straight; 1/5th superbikes, mad for their wheelies; and 1/5th FG Marder Buggies converted to on-road for a beginners class.

With a new track just recently laid and all the latest equipment the club is on the up and always looking for new members.

So come along, have a look and maybe even join in. Members stretch right across Northern Ireland with some even coming from as far as Wicklow.

Racing starts at 10.15am. Spectators can watch for free and there’s plenty of free car parking spaces, so bring the family along?

The action gets underway at Kernan Playing Fields, Craigavon, just past Craigavon Area Hospital and not far from Rushmere Shopping Centre.
