Last week 43 Ladies played in their first ever competition sponsored by the Donnelly Group.

Coming out on top of the lot was Marlene Nelson, whose very impressive round saw her into first place.

She amassed 39 points on a fantastic day. The gross prize was won by Finnuala Crossey, who had 25 gross points.

Section A Winner with 35 points was Mary Quinn, Section B Winner with 39 points was Carol Quinn and Section C winner with 28 points was Mildred Doran.

Only one lady had her handicap reduced. This was Carol Quinn who now plays off 22. The two’s competition was won by Louise Ewart, who had her first ever two at the 15th.

Golfer of the Year points were awarded as follows:

Marlen Nelson 6, Carol Quinn 5. Fionnuala Crossey 4, Mary Quinn 3, Sheelagh English 2 and Helen Cocks 1.
