A round-up of news from Cottage Park

CLANN na Banna’s new website is now live www.clannnabanna.down.gaa.ie. The club will be adding match reports, results and photos as the season progresses.

They have added a section dedicated to past times in Clann na Banna, and at the moment there are a number of old photos to view of past players and supporters. There are a few individuals with some dodgy hair cuts and a few with a little more hair than they have now, so parental guidance is advised. The club would really like to hear from anybody who has a photo, match report of even a paper cutting, from bygone days. We promise to return all items and we will treat them with up most care. If you would like to add something to the site, email Barry McConville at [email protected] or call 07706806007. The next quiz night will be held in O’Reilly’s Bar on February 4 2011 at 8.30pm. This will be a general pub quiz, and everybody is welcome. Entry is £5 a head, and a maximum of six per team. The committee would like to pass on their best wishes to Paul and Nicola Malone on the recent birth of their son Eoin, who apparently Paul has already had measured for new football boots. Clann na Banna will be hosting a Foundation Level Coaching Award for aspiring and current GAA coaches at Cottage Park on Saturday February 12. See the website for further details. Club Gear: Still a selection of the new replica jerseys and Kukri gear available. See website for details. 2011 membership is now open. Membership forms are available via the secretary by emailing [email protected] Volunteers needed to help out with underage teams. As females are currently underrepresented at coaching level, the club would particularly like to hear from any ladies who would be interested in working with a team. Email the secretary, Gavin Campbell, at [email protected] Keep up to date with the latest from Clann na Banna by following them on Twitter @clannnabanna, Facebook, the new website [email protected] and in the local papers.
