The summer league at Rathfriland continued recently, with the latest 20-bird DTL held on Thursday June 20.
Attendance was as consistent as ever, with a total of nine lines shot over the night, which saw pleasant weather making for decent targets.
Throughout the night a total of five shooters hit the 20/60 score to reach the final.
The ever-present Enoch McCauley was first to hit the top score but was unable to stay for the final.
Soon Geoff Dale, Ronnie Peters, William Robinson and Neville Ferguson hit similar scores to ensure a tight final.
The final was a close one, though it saw a disappointing start for William Robinson; the Ballyvea man double-barrelling his first target out.
Throughout the final, though, Ronnie Peters was looking strong, and held his nerve to take the win.
Final places were as follows:
1st, Ronnie Peters
2nd, Neville Ferguson
3rd, Geoff Dale
Shooting continues through the summer at Rathfriland, with the next 20-bird to be held Thursday June 27.
