Rathfriand take the points in nail biter

RATHFRILAND Bowling Club's B team opened their league season recently with a nail biting game against Castle B from Bangor.

The game was decided in the final end of mat two with the score at 77-74 to the Rathfriland club.

The Bangor rink had lying three shots, had they got them this would have tied the game but skip Bruce Hamilton with his first bowl hit the three lying shots and pushed them out of the head to take the win. A beautiful bowl by the skip and this left the score at 78-74 to Rathfriland.
