Rangers washout before Cup game

None of Banbridge Rangers’ senior fixtures survived the weather last weekend as all of them had to be called off.

The first team, however, are back in action tonight (Tuesday) in the second round of the Mid Ulster Cup. The Gers will travel to Stangmore Park to play Premiership side Dungannon Swifts, who have quite a few local players on their books. Kick off is at 7.45pm. The Swifts go into the game off the back of a poor run of form. They’re without a win in five league games and suffered a 5-0 league defeat to Portadown on Saturday.

Rangers will then travel to play their rearranged Intermediate Cup Round One tie away to Bryansburn on Saturday afternoon. That one has a 1.30pm kick off in Bangor.

Meanwhile, Glasgow Rangers Soccer School is taking place this week at Cheney Park in conjunction with Banbridge Rangers FC. There are professional coaches dispatching their wealth of knowledge over five days. There will be over thirty hours of coaching for those signing up for the week. The scheme began yesterday (Monday) but there are limited spaces available for any children who may want to join at any stage during the week.
