Racks Rookies Vs Rack ‘n’ Rollers

Racks Rookies continue to look more polished as the league wears on and despite coming away with no points from this encounter they will be hard stopped if they continue playing like this. The league’s toughest team the Rollers were not going to have it easy it seemed as Rookies Captain Richard Clyde defeated Lyam McDermott in the opener. Ryan Craig Soon levelled though defeating Michael Baird 2-0. Stefan ‘the pro’ Christie dispatching the evergreen Nigel Craig 2-1 in the next. Noel McDermott made sure of the point however when he defeated Chris Rankin 2-1 in the last.

In the second set, Ryan Craig got his team off to the best possible start with a fine 2-0 win over Stefan Christie. It was soon 2-0 as Noel McDermott defeated Michael Baird in a close game. Ricky Clyde again kept his side in it with another victory over Lyam McDermott this time 2-0. But Nigel Craig wrapped up maximum points in the last beating Chris Rankin 2-0.

UUC 8Ballers Vs Boondock Saints

The saints have struggled all year and this was to be no exception as fresh from a semi final appearance at the Irish university championship the UUC were not in the charitable mood. Marc Higgins took David Magill out in quick succession recording a 2-0 in the opener; Darren Millar made it 2-0 soon after defeating Joe Larkin by the same score. John McAllister gave his team some pride back beating Mark O’Neill 2-0 and Neil McMurran received the walkover in the last give UUC the first point.

In the Second Set, David Magill put Saints one up with a classy win over Darren Millar but this wasn’t to last as Joe Larkin was took apart by an inform Neil McMurran. John McAllister didn’t have the run in the first going in off the black and was unable to stop a terrific finish by Marc Higgins in the next. A walkover for Mark O’Neill in the last gave UUC maximum Points.

Division Two

Rat Pack Vs Sensations

Three men Rat Pack came up against the worst possible team to be in that situation the Division two destroyers The Sensations and as the form book suggests the runaway leaders of Division two secured the win. Graham Wallace defeated Darren Leonard 2-0 in the first. Andrew Kincaid kept the plucky Pack in it with a fine 2-0 over Andrew McAlonan levelled things. But that didn’t matter as a 2-0 win for Rodney McCaughern over Philip McLean and a walkover for Philip Shaw made sure of the first point.

2-0 Sensations

In the second set, Andrew Kincaid kept up his impressive run in the league with a nice win over Philip Shaw and Darren Leonard made it 2-0 with a win over Rodney Blair. But they were always up against it and despite leading 2-0 lost the set on frame difference as Philip McLean crashed to a 2-0 loss against Andy McAlonan.

Slow Starters Vs Ballymoney Blaze

Slow Starters continue to climb the league as they comfortably defeated Ballymoney Blaze. Richard Williams defeated Sam Campbell 2-0 in the opener. Andrew Stewart defeated Ronnie Leslie 2-0 in the next and Chris Lamont Rounded off the first set beating Steven Elder 2-1.

In the Second Set, Chris Lamont kept the starters running as he defeated Steven Elder 2-0 in the first, Andy Stewart took another one with a 2-0 over Sam Campbell and Richard Williams made sure the points with a 2-0 win over Ronnie Leslie.
