Panto time at Donacloney PS

DONACLONEY Primary School brought a modern twist to an old favourite when they presented their pantomime 'Cinderella Rockerfella' this week.

Cinderella was played by P7 pupil Alana Keery, while Isaac Black (P6) took on the role of Rockerfella, an imaginative 21st century version of Prince Charming. The panto’s old favourites also appeared - Buttons was played by Callum Black (P7) and the hilarious Ugly Sisters, Anastacia (Nasty) and Augustina (Gusty) were performed by P7 double act Matthew Rudd-Spence and Peter Rountree.

The panto was set in a world of fame, celebrity , music and paparazzi, allowing for appearances of Fairy Nastyboots -Hannah Erskine (P6), Fairy Godmother - Emily-Jane Dixon (P7), and the Fairy Brigade comprising P7 girls Amber Orr, Sandra Gracey, Jessica Johnston and Sarah Hutton. The Music Managers were Morgan Young and Cameron Buchanon from P7.

Every pupil in P6 and P7 took part, either on stage or as backstage crew, while dancing was provided by all of Primary 5. The pantomime was produced by Principal Lynne Nesbitt and P5 teacher Nicola Vaughan, though - as always in Donacloney Primary School - this was a whole school production, with all staff contributing, along with parents, to the success of the performances.
