Own goal grants Ballyvea victory

RATHFRILAND Swifts hosted Ballyvea in a friendly last Wednesday evening with the visitors edging the contest by virtue of an unfortunate own goal.

The Swifts had the better of the first half with their best move of the game coming via a great move by Keith Megaw, Paul Campbell and finally Philip Johnston heading against the face of the post.

On the stroke of half time came that own goal which proved to the difference in the two sides.

The visitors had the better of the second period but there were no further goals in the game although a very good workout for both sides.
