With approximately 15000 people there, this show is the next biggest to the Balmoral Show in terms of attendance.

Over 200 people of all ages ‘had a go’ at this ancient sport and the club hopes to recruit many new members from the day’s activities.

For once the weather was perfect with sunshine all day. Ballyvally would like to thank the 24 club members who turned up to work hard all day at the club’s site in Castlewellan Forest Park

All this week, Ballyvally will organise their annual summer coaching school.

Top British Coach Mrs Maggie Squires will be in attendance along with club coaches Frank Mulligan and Shannon Russell-Cowan.

Club members are reminded that the club’s course in the woods will also be open over the next four days for members to increase their skills, update their equipment and learn to shoot longer distances.

The club’s summer archery school is now nearing the halfway stage and anyone interested should contact club coach Frank Mulligan (028 406 23748) to have a go at this unique sport.
