Outlet Blitz kicks off Bann's mini season
Bann’s Junior Chairman Raymond Reid was delighted with how the morning’s rugby went. “The weather was kind and I must praise the attitude of all the visiting players, coaches and parents,” he said.
“Everyone was just keen to see the players enjoy themselves and the results were very much secondary to making sure everyone was involved in some early season action.

“We lost too many Saturdays last season because of the very wet winter and we were determined to make sure our squads had plenty of games this season. This blitz will have encouraged the coaches and players, especially those who have just taken up the game,” he added.
The host club just edged out Armagh to lift the Outlet Trophy, with Lurgan close behind.
Bann plan to run the event as a curtain-raiser to future seasons, with more clubs being invited to come along and enjoy the rugby with the emphasis very much on “fun for all”.
