Dromara history group to meet

Dromara Local History Group is holding its final meeting of the year at 8pm on Monday, April 20 in the Lagan Park centre.

Speaker, William George, will address the subject of ‘The history of Roads in Northern Ireland . Everyone welcome.

The group is also holding a Table Quiz in the Square One restaurant on Monday 27 April at 8pm. The proceeds will go to The Ballynahinch War Memorial Restoration Fund.

A spokesperson explained: “Many from Dromara gave their lives in the Great War and are remembered on the Memorial.”

Finally, the group’s annual outing, on 30 May, will take in Lissan House,Wellbrook Beetling Mill and Killymoon Castle, all in the Cookstown area.
