Do you remember ‘the Convent’ in Limavady?

Were you a boarder, or did you attend music lessons at the school?

Were you a day pupil at the school or maybe you attended the Guild of St Agnes on a Sunday evening?

If so, then the principal, Mrs Mary McCloskey, and the current staff want to hear from you, because the Sisters of our Lady of the Missions are celebrating their 150th Anniversary this year.

As part of these celebrations a religious Service of Thanksgiving will be held in St Mary’s Church Limavady on Saturday, September 29, at 11.30am.

“We would like to invite all those associated with the school to attend this Mass but we would also welcome photographs or stories about your experiences so we can put together an exhibition for that day,” said Mrs McCloskey.

Anyone who has memorabilia or who woudl like to get involved with the celebrations, or simply wants to attend the service, is asked to contact Vera Hegarty by telephoning 028 9447 2447 or by emailing her at [email protected]. Alternatively, telephone Geraldine Carlin on 028 7776 2360 or email [email protected].
