Noel's rink wins Jethro League

A CAPACITY crowd were treated to some excellent bowling in the finals of the House 2 Home sponsored Jethro Rinks League last Thursday afternoon.

Noel Conlon’s rink, who have been first, second and third in the previous three years, regained the cup by defeating Elizabeth Smyth’s rink 13-9.

On the adjoining mat, for the third third and fourth place play-off, Nick Garvey’s rink dropped six shots in the third end to go 10-0 down.

They were left to try and play catch up as the rink of Robert Cassells went on to a comfortable 19-12 victory.

After lunch winning skip, Noel Conlon, on behalf of the league, presented a cheque for 3,000 to buy special medical equipment for ward four south at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Home 2 Home representative, Lorraine Reynolds, presented the Jethro League Cup to Noel Conlon and trophies to runner-up, Elizabeth Smyth, third place Robert Cassells and fourth placed Nick Garvey.
