NI records for Andrew and Matthew
On Saturday 31st May Aarons Gym Powerlifting team competitors Andrew Burrows and Matthew Henry competed in the NIPF Max Powerlifting Competition in Newtownabbey with great success.
In the U23 83Kgs Class Andrew squatted a 190kgs Northern Ireland Record, 120kg Benchpress and a 220Kgs deadlift at a Bodyweight of 77.3Kgs, Andrew not only came 1st in his class but won the overall title of the coveted Strongest Junior Lifter.
U23 73kg Class 1st time Competitor Matthew Henry also placed 1st in his class with a Northern Ireland Record Squat of 175Kgs, Benchpress of 105Kgs and a Deadlift of 215Kgs, the combination of Matthew’s three lifts was also a Northern Ireland Record of 495Kgs.
