News round-up from Aghaderg and Ballyvarley

THE presentation of Ballyvarley and Aghaderg’s club awards took place last Saturday evening in the clubrooms with ex GAA president, Paddy McFlynn, the special guest.

The winners of the player of the year and sports person of the year awards were - senior football, Paul McGrath / Michael McGrath; senior hurling Thomas Lennon / Paul O’Neill; U21 football Kieran Maguire / Conor McAlorum; U16 hurling Richard Armstrong / Robert Vaskis; U16 football Shane Donnelly / Michael Fitzpatrick; U16 camogie Sarah Rafferty / Rebecca Fletcher.

Other awards winners were - Donal Moran club person of the year, Seamus McGrath chairman’s award and Aideen Colgan youth person of the year. 

- Training for the senior footballers continues on Tuesday and Fridays in the hall at 7.45pm sharp and Sundays from 11.00am -12.15pm on the training pitch, all those intending to play senior football this season are requested to attend. 

- Training for all members of the senior hurling squad will be conducted on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and Sundays from 12:15 - 1.30pm. 

- The lotto numbers drawn on Monday 30th January were 5, 12, 21 & 26. The jackpot was not won and no one matched three numbers.  Next week’s jackpot is £4300.
