New Rathfriland boss John Kernaghan is targeting all three points in his first home game in charge at the club.
Kernaghan and Assistant Manager Shane Reddish will take their seat in the Iveagh Park dugout for the first time this weekend, Rosario YC the visitors.
Rosario are two points ahead of Rangers but have played four games more. Rathfriland have drawn six of their 13 league games so far and Kernaghan says they’ll be on the hunt for a win this weekend.
He said: “Rathfriland have drawn too many games this season. We will be going out in our first home game as a management team on Saturday and we’ll be going out to get the three points.
“I’m confident that we can do that. We need to instill a winning mentality back into the club. We’ll try and finish as high up the table and possible this season and stabilise the club. This is a great wee club with a great committee.
“Last Saturday was the first time I’ve seen the players. I’ve got a good squad and they gave me 100% commitment against Abbey Villa, which was all I could ask for.”
