These weekly copen competitions will run from now until September. They should prove very popular for those players who cannot get out on a Saturday and are open to all players who are members of any club and who have a handicap and a GUI number.

Neil Clydesdale got the 2015 series off to a brilliant start.

This talented five handicapper went round the 18 holes in a three under par gross 66. That gave him 44 stableford points and he won the competition by four clear points.

There have been two gross 66s so far this season, one from Rory Leonard and the other one from Neil. With the course alterations almost complete, the club will soon be looking for a new course record.

Neil Comiskey (11) was runner-up in the Open with 40 points and Paddy Malcolmson was third, also with 40 points.
