It was not a good day on Monday with both Vets teams gaining no wins in their league games.

In the NIBA Pairs on Monday evening both pairs made their exit. The Haires were defeated at Banbridge while R Bolton lost on a tie end at Bangor playing with N Shaw.

On Wednesday evening, the Mid-week were away to Newcastle in a double match playing the first round of the Shield alongside their league game with the winner taking all. It turned out to be a good night for the locals taking all seven points and a place in the semi-final.

K Poots still was enjoying his roll of skip winning by 18. G Dawson had a good win of 14 while H Maxwell got over the line by three and E Dickson still learning the ropes of skipping had a victory of one.
