At Round 1 Jason posted fifth in the two motos at Albaida circuit, to come away fifth overall in the competitive Elite MX2 Class on his Watt Motorcycles KTM 250, he followed this up at round 2 in Sanlucar near Cadiz with a tenth and a 14th after being docked six places for allegedly passing under a yellow flag.

This leaves the 19 year old in 6th place in the Championship going into round 3 at the Grand Prix circuit of Almenar near Lleida on 6th March.

This of course, is the cicuit where Gordon Crockard scored his first Grand Prix win in 2000, so here’s hoping lightning can strike twice for the Irish men!

Jason has now decided to concentrate on the Spanish Championship as he believes this is where he can get noticed and prove himself against Grand Prix opposition, he also hopes to take in a few European Championship rounds, so any help would be appreciated for the long journeys to Spain, up to 19 hours so far, and with trips to Belpuig near Barcelona coming up, even longer journeys are in prospect.

The Club wish Jason every success in Europe as they believe that is where the future for aspiring Grand Prix riders lies, and are fully supportive of Jason’s enterprise and ambition.
